Mrs. Love’s
iPad Classroom Guidelines
The use of your iPad is very similar to that of using a school-owned textbook. You are the custodian of the iPad device, it is your responsibility to take care of it, to handle it with care, and to use it with sensitivity and respect.
Detailed below are the basic procedures for iPad usage in my classroom:
1. Get to know your iPad functions and features.
2. Get to know the educational applications, specifically Google classroom and any other 'apps' that apply to most of your classes. Mrs. Love will review those applications in detail to ensure that you feel comfortable with their features.
3. Playing games on the iPad is not allowed in Mrs. Love's class. There is a zero-tolerance policy for playing games. The first time I notice that games are being played, you will not be able to use your iPad in my classroom and you will receive a teacher detention.
4. Always ask permission to take pictures and make recordings in Mrs. Love's class.
5. The majority of your homework and projects will be distributed and returned through Google classroom which is an application on the iPad. All homework that is distributed via Google classroom will have a 'turn in time' of 8 A.M. on the day it is due, (exceptions: absent students and /or students without Internet access.) Very important note: you must see Mrs. Love in Homeroom if you experienced trouble submitting assignments via Google classroom.
The iPad is an amazing tool; we will have instantaneous experiences and have marvelous fun. To paraphrase a famous quote from a TV series.........“We will explore great stories and new frontiers and seek out many strange new characters, and boldly go where Gummies, Kisses, Twizzlers, Skittles & Jollies have gone before.”
Enjoy!
