Hello everyone! My name is Mrs. Podwats, but you can call me Mrs. P or Mrs. Pods! Some of you may know me as Ms. D'Amelio, but I am now married with a new last name! This is my 5th year at VMS, but my 7th year teaching middle school. I have taught 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Language Arts/Reading in the past, and I am SO excited to be teaching 6th grade again this year! Here are some facts about me:

1. I earned a bachelor's degree in English and a B.A. degree in Education from Rowan University. I also earned a master's degree in English and Media Studies from Rutgers University-Camden.

2. I love dogs!! I have a pup named Mabel. She is my whole world. :)

3. I also love coffee!!! Starbucks is my favorite. My drink of choice is the brown sugar shaken espresso...yum!

4. My favorite season is fall...I love sweater weather!

5. I have a sweet tooth! My favorite sweets are Reese's cups, chocolate covered pretzels, and Dove chocolate!
