Hello everyone! My name is Ms. D'Amelio, but you can call me Ms. D! This is my 2nd year at VMS, but my 4th year teaching middle school. I have taught 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Language Arts/Reading in the past, and I am SO excited to be teaching 6th grade again this year! Here are 10 facts about me:

1. I earned a bachelor's degree in English and a B.A. degree in Education from Rowan University.

2. I also earned a master's degree in English and Media Studies from Rutgers University-Camden.

3. I have a younger brother named Anthony. He is an engineering major at Drexel University, and I am very proud of him! :')

4. My dog is a 115 lbs. rottweiler named Sambuca. She is my heart and soul!!

5. I am recently engaged to my fiancé, Jeff. 

6. I love coffee!!! (Starbucks is my favorite.)

7. If you are looking for me, catch me at Starbucks, Target, or HomeGoods. 

8. My favorite season is fall. I love sweater weather!

9. Currently, my favorite author is Rupi Kaur. This sometimes changes, but she has been my top choice for the past few years.

10. I absolutely LOVE my job. I know that not everyone can say that, but I am thankful to say it and mean it.
