Dear VMS Parents,
Now that the school year is underway, we are getting ready to begin our 2021-2022 instrumental music program. Students may take instruction on one band or string instrument per year for Free! The only cost is renting/buying an instrument, see below (if you have one already then you are all set!) All music lessons will consist of small groups and will require masks to be worn. Special musician masks and bell covers will be provided for all Wind Players. Students will be spaced 3-6 feet apart for lessons.
Parents interested in having their child participate in the program should have the attached google form filled out no later than Sept. 17th.
Lessons will take place once a week during Related Arts/Gym/Health. If your child is struggling we may have the option to pull them from class to help with any issues that may arise.
Students will have plenty of opportunities to perform virtually throughout the school year. As well as a possible concert in May, virtual or in person if conditions change.
Instrumental rental information will follow upon receipt of registration form. If you are providing your own instrument, please have it ready by Sept. 22nd.
Students who participated in the program last year must also complete the form.
Students must have at least 1 year of experience to participate in the program.
