My name is Ms. Maxine Smith. We are going to have a fabulous school year! As a little girl my dream was to always become a teacher. I was accepted into a five-year accelerated masters program at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison, NJ. I received a Bachelor of Science and a Master's in Teaching. I then went back to become Certified in Special Education and I am Highly Qualified in Language Arts. I taught for over nine years in neighboring school districts, then I took some time off to become a mommy. This is my fourth year returning to teaching for the Voorhees Township Public Schools.
I feel that not only do schools need to offer an inconclusive environment, but the communities where we live ought to as well. In my free time, I volunteer for several special needs organizations in the community.
