My name is Vicki Biederman and I have been in education since late 2000 after earning a BS in Education from West Chester University. My career began in the School District of Philadelphia where I taught 5th and 6th grade language arts and social studies. In 2002, I moved my career and family to New Jersey and began teaching in the Evesham Township School District. While in Evesham, I had experience teaching 5th, 6th, and 8th grade students primarily in the subjects of language arts and social studies with a few years of elementary education. During my time in Evesham, I wrote district wide curriculum for the above-mentioned grade levels and subjects. I also held the role of Gifted and Talented Coordinator, Professional Learning Community Leader, Professional Development Presenter, Team Leader and School Level Professional Development Committee Member. In 2008, I earned my Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from St. Joseph’s University.
I believe that a school should be a safe place to learn and grow both personally and academically. Students should be able to gain the skills needed to use their personal interests and talents to meaningfully contribute to society both now and in the future. I believe strong communication, support for a growth mindset and collaboration amongst staff, students and families creates an environment where ideas and success can flourish.
During my free time, I can be found gardening, reading a book, hiking, cooking or spending time with my husband, Eric, my two kids, Alyssa and Carter, and my dog, Penny.
I am so excited to welcome the 6th grade students to Voorhees Middle School! If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me at 856-795-2025 Ext.5160. , or email biederman@voorhees.k12.nj.us
