Mrs. Slawski's Biography
A local girl, Mrs. Slawski grew up in Cherry Hill. After graduating from Cherry Hill East, Mrs. Slawski attended Rutgers University and received a dual degree in Education and Ecology. Later, she completed her graduate degree in Environmental Education at Beaver College.Mrs. Slawski has worked doing environmental education programs for the Pinelands Institute and for the Audubon Society and has been published through Beaver College, the Maine Audubon Society, Outside magazine, Mother Earth Living, Gooseberry Patch, Oxygen and Runner's World. She has been teaching at VMS for twenty-four years and thirty years in total.A true outdoors-lover, Mrs. Slawski is a graduate of the National Outdoor Leadership School, the Wilderness Medicine Institute and has taught paddling for the Girl Scouts of Southern NJ and LL Bean. She surfs, hikes, paddleboards, kayaks, runs and bikes. She is crazy about animals and has a rescue dog named Memphis.When not at school, Mrs. Slawski is involved with several animal charities, is a member of a book club and loves to cook, bake, garden and whittle.
