• In the event of an emergency - such as a bus accident, mechanical failure or any incident resulting in an extended delay while students are on board, the driver or a responsible person designated by the driver, will notify the Principal (Principal of receiving school, Transportation Coordinator, School Business Administrator/Board Secretary, Other) of the number and location of the bus and the circumstances of the disability.  Students may only be released from the bus at the scene under the direct supervision and authorization of an on-site district administrator who will ensure the safety of the students, law enforcement, or medical personnel.  In the absence of these individuals, students can only be dismissed at their assigned stop.
