    Street Corner Bus Stops for the 2023-2024 School Year

     

    As the district continues to prepare to serve over 500 preschool students by the 2026-2027 school year (5 years), we must make changes to our current transportation practices effective September 1, 2023.

     

    Beginning with the 2023-2024 school year, preschool and kindergarten students will be picked up at street intersection corners instead of at each student’s house. This change is necessary to avoid extended transport times that will be associated with an additional 150 preschool students expected in the 2023-2024 school year. By creating strategically placed stops where multiple students can board at once, it simultaneously allows us to transport more students on a bus while also reducing the time students are on the bus. Additionally, Kresson preschool and kindergarten students will be sharing buses in the Kresson sending zone. These buses will have bus aides to assist students with seat belts and generally help students with the trip.

     

    Please note: Students with Special Education Programming will receive transportation in accordance with their IEPs.
