Your child’s class is participating in the Phillies’ Phanatic About Reading program presented by Xfinity.
The program was created to motivate students in grades Pre-K through 8 to read or be read to a piece of
literature of their choice for a minimum of 20 minutes per day. To help you keep track of your child’s
activity, a reading log has been provided. You may use the log to indicate the dates that your child has
read for at least 20 minutes.
As part of the program, your child’s class could receive a special Phanatic experience.
To determine whoqualifies for a Phanatic experience, the Phillies will work closely with all teachers involved in the program to decide which classrooms are top performing for the school year in terms of their reading
accomplishments.
Additionally, toward the end of the school year, the Phillies will be asking teachers to nominate
Most Improved and Most Outstanding readers in their classroom. From the nominations received, students will be chosen and recognized prior to a
Phillies game at Citizens Bank Park on Phanatic About Reading Night presented by Xfinity.Please visit the Phanatic About Reading Welcome page where teachers and students can access a variety of Phanatic books and wallpapers.
