My name is Lisa Morgan, and it is with great enthusiasm that I introduce myself as your Assistant Principal at Osage Elementary School. Now in my second year in this role, my ties to our school district have been longstanding and deeply rewarding.
I began my journey in education at Glassboro State College and earned a BA in Psychology in 1991. Realizing a passion for teaching, I obtained a K-8 Teaching Certification from the same institution the following year. I was fortunate to complete my degree as a student teacher at Signal Hill Elementary, where I was honored to learn alongside dedicated and talented educators in this district. After spending several years in the classroom, I went on to pursue an MA in Education and an Instructional Technology Certificate from Georgian Court College in 1997, as well as Supervisor Certification in 2003, and Principal Certification at Rowan University in 2016.
Throughout my career in this district, I have held many diverse roles. As an Instructional Associate, 4th grade teacher (Kresson), and 5th grade teacher (Kresson and Osage), I experienced first hand the endless potential of our students. As a Technology Specialist (Kresson), I was able to help pave the way for engaging, innovative, and highly effective teaching methodologies for our students to thrive in a fast-paced digital world. I've also had the pleasure of being part of Voorhees CER as a Summer Camp Counselor, Saturday Spectacular Instructor, and School Age Care Coordinator. Through these roles, I have had the privilege of getting to know many students outside the traditional classroom and understand the importance of providing a safe and nurturing environment where children can thrive beyond the regular school day. Finally, I am an immensely proud parent of twin boys, Matthew and Daniel, who went through the Voorhees Township School District and Eastern High School to become career firefighters in Pennsylvania and Maine, respectively.Alongside you, and Osage's exceptional staff, I look forward to fostering an environment where each child feels safe, valued, supported, and empowered to reach their full potential. As we embark upon the 2024 - 2025 school year, I am excited and humbled to have this opportunity, and I look forward to a year filled with growth, learning, and memorable moments for all our students. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me with any questions, comments, or concerns you may have. Your feedback and collaboration are invaluable as we work as a team to provide the best educational experience for your children, our most valuable members of the Voorhees Township community.Warm regards,Lisa MorganAssistant Principal, Osage Elementary School(856) 428-2990, ext 4126
