Hello, Parents/Guardians!

I am very excited to have your child as one of my fabulous fourth grade students this school year! My name is Ashley McMichael and I am looking forward to the opportunity to work with you and your child. I truly believe that teacher-parent communication is extremely important and I encourage you to contact me right away with any questions or concerns. I will be available by email, Class Dojo, or please feel free to send a note in your child’s daily signed agenda.

I would like to take a moment to ask you about your child. What interests them? What are their loves and passions? What can I incorporate into my teaching of any subject that would grab their attention? What ways does your child learn best? Do they play any sports? Dance? Do they have siblings? Do they collect anything? What are their general feelings about school?

I would like you to email me ASAP at mcmichael@voorhees.k12.nj.us with any information you would like to share with me about your child that you feel I should know. The more I know about your child, the better I can reach them as a learner (and it gives me time to study before September 7th!) You and I are on the same page: we both want the very best for your child. I have high expectations for the academic school year, and I am devoted to helping everyone succeed! I truly believe that all students are unique and capable of learning.

I strongly encourage you to get involved in our classroom this year. Updates will be sent home frequently, but we can talk about that at Back-To-School Night on September 19th.
