Online Registration is open now:
The 2020 school year will be the most "different" one ever- but we are going to make this work and have fun! Instrumental Music WILL be happening- just in a different way then ever before.
We will be having lessons this year, but instead of being pulled out of class - we will be teaching you from your house on one of the days you are remote for school.
If you want to learn how to play an instrument this year- you need to do 2 things:
1) Fill out the registration form, and
2) Get and instrument to use- thats it!
Information about renting and instrument and getting your book, scheduling, and anything else we need to figure out will be coming home Tuesday, September 15th via an e-mail from Mrs. Morris (Kresson students) or Mr. Cranmer (Osage students). If you missed the e-mail, here is a link to the registration form and information:
(Or click the Registration 2020 Tab on the left- this also has the instrument rental information)
We hope we can have you join the band- so when we do return to school full-time, we can all make music together!
See the link below "INSTRUMENT CHOICES AT KRESSON/OSAGE" to check out/listen to the instruments that are available to play at school (I had to make my own drum video, as there was not a drum demo on Coles website- that is right below the link). The first couple of demos are the orchestra demos (violin, viola, cello) - they are taught bt Mr. Grippi. Scroll down some for the band demos (flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, drums) - they are taught by me (Mr. Farrell).
In 4th and 5th grade, you can select one instrument to learn and play - completely free of charge! All you need to do is to get an instrument, book, and music stand- this can all be rented for the school year at Coles Music Service- they are the ones providing the instrument demonstrations in the link below.
