Welcome to Ms. Warren's Second Grade Class!

After student-teaching and substitute teaching at Kresson in years past, I am thrilled to return to this amazing school as a second grade teacher. My students and I will be working to develop a respectful and supportive classroom community, which prioritizes creating the encouraging environment students need to thrive. Students this year will write creative stories, personal narratives, fun poems, and more. They will build upon their math knowledge and deepen their understanding of place-value to solve two and three-digit addition and subtraction equations. Using our "Wonders" reading program, students will learn new words and strategies to make them more confident and engaged readers. We will explore the world around us with various science activities, and discover how to be good citizens and community members by learning about important events and people in social studies.

I consider parent-teacher collaboration to be invaluable. As a parent, I know that no one knows your children as well as you do, and I look forward to working together with each of you to help your children reach the height of their potential.
