Meet Your Teacher!
My name is Mrs. Farrell, and this will be my nineteenth year teaching at Kresson Elementary. Before coming to Kresson, I was lucky to have started my teaching career at E.T. Hamilton. I feel very fortunate to be able to teach in the Voorhees Township School District where parents, students, and teachers value education and are extremely supportive.
I started my college career at Montclair State University, where I majored in Fashion Merchandising. After I found my true passion was working with children with disabilities, I transferred to Rowan University, where I received my bachelor's degree in, Teacher of the Handicapped. I also have my master's degree from Walden University, specializing in Integrating Technology in the Classroom. My college experience gave me many opportunities to teach in various school districts, and in classrooms with multiple disabilities. Throughout college I was a part of the Miss New Jersey Scholarship Organization where I competed and promoted my platform, Learning Disabilities Education and Awareness. Within the past few years I went back to school to receive my certificate as a certified Health Coach at the Dr. Sears Wellness Institute, where having the knowledge and skills to improve one's physical health and overall well being is another passion of mine.
I grew up in the small town of Pitman. I have two children of my own, a 10 and 12 year old. In my free time, you'll find me on the soccer field or at the ice hockey rink. I love helping coach my daughter's soccer team, watching my son play soccer and ice hockey, but when I get the chance you'll find me squeezing in a run. Most importantly, I love spending time with Mr. Farrell and our children.
