Today was another "Lion" day in March!!
We started our day reviewing our sight words and calendar activities. Can you believe we are getting close to being in school 120 days????

After calendar, we practiced our two new sight words, for and soon. We did an awesome job writing and using these words in sentences. We also reviewed our letter for the week, letter Dd.We are doing a great job sounding out our words and identifying sounds.

After that, we started our math review for Topic 10. We had fun practicing our addition and subtraction facts to solve a special puzzle!

Before lunch, we went to the art room to paint our shoeboxes green. We are really looking forward to working with our buddy class and turning them into leprechaun traps tomorrow.

Once lunch was over, we practiced our iReady skills and finished our math review. We are doing an amazing job breaking apart numbers into groups of ten.

Next, Mrs. R-C read us a new story that went with "Sheep on a Hike". The story of "The Three Billy Goats Gruff" was really fun to read. We especially liked the part when the big billy goat pushed the troll into the river. As an extra surprise, Mrs. R-C showed us how to use the Epic website to listen to another version of this story on our iPads. We are looking forward to using Epic more in the future.

After our afternoon break and Art, it was time to go home.

Today was quite a busy day in Kindergarten!

Homework: No Homework! It's Family Night!

Today was definitely a "Lion" day in March!!
We started our day reviewing our sight words and calendar activities. Can you believe we are getting close to being in school 120 days????

After calendar, we practiced our two new sight words, here and they. We did an awesome job writing and using these words in sentences. We also reviewed our letter for the week, letter Dd.We are doing a great job sounding out our words and identifying sounds.

After that, we took a little break to watch the snow fall outside. We followed snowflakes as they fell to the ground and compared what snow looks when we have a blizzard with what flurries look like. It was a fun morning break!

Before lunch, we reread our story "Sheep on a Hike". We talked about how we can use picture clues to figure out what is going on in a story.

Once lunch was over, we relaxed and learned more our feelings with a Move This World lesson.

Next, Mrs. R-C went over our Math lesson. Today we practiced adding ten to a number and using a hundreds chart to compare patterns. We did a great job on a tough lesson!

After our afternoon break and Health, we practiced our reading and math skills on iReady. At the end of the day, we continued talking about St. Patrick's Day by listening to a funny story and doing a leprechaun freeze dance.

Today was quite a busy day in Kindergarten!
