• I firmly believe that our thoughts are triggers that cause us to feel unwanted feelings which cause us to behave in certain ways that sometimes are unhealthy. My goal is to develop healthy coping mechanisms when we do have unwanted thoughts or feelings.  With that, I use a majority of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in my approach to counseling.  I do also use a mindfulness approach that helps to calm our racing brains, to bring us to the present moment without using any judgement.  This incorporates a lot of breathing exercises.
