• Social and emotional learning is one of the most important skills for all children to learn in order to cope with daily life stressors. I have found in my practice that social and emotional learning helps us better self-regulate when we are faced with tough situations. 

    One way I incorporate this is by using mindfulness to "ground" ourselves to the present moment.  Another way is through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (known as CBT).  Understanding our thoughts that trigger our feelings, which causes us to behave in certain ways.
