    Every student will receive a take home folder in which they will bring home daily.  This will be a part of our daily routine and the folder will have a return to school side and leave at home side.  Homework will be placed on the return to school side of the folder.  Homework is an extension of what we are learning in school.  If your child is having difficulty with any of the assigned homework or homework is taking an excessive amount of time, please let me know and we can work to make homework a positive experience for both you and your child. 

     

    Book ClubsBook Club

    Book clubs are an inexpensive way to keep your child’s home library current.  Your orders earn our classroom bonus points which will be used to update our classroom library.  You will be able to order either on-line or you may send your order into school.  If sending to school, I do ask that you do not send cash.  Please make checks payable to Scholastic Book Clubs. 

      
    BirthdaysHappy Birthday
     
    We love to celebrate birthdays.  If you would like to send in a treat for your child’s birthday, the class will undoubtedly enjoy it.  Please send in a treat that is easy to distribute.  Thanks so much!  Currently there are 16 students in our class.  To avoid any hurt feelings, it is asked that you do not send birthday invitations into school. 
     

    AbsencesOut Sick

    If your child is not in school, please feel free to send me an email or leave a voicemail, especially if you would like their work sent home with another student or left in the office for you to pick up at the end of the day.  If you know your child will be missing days in advance, please contact me and we can make arrangements for you to get the missed work.
