Dear Students,
Welcome to second grade! I hope you have had a fantastic summer. Hopefully, you have gotten plenty of rest, and you are looking forward to starting a new school year. I have been in our classroom for the last few weeks getting things ready for our first day of school. The books are on the shelves, the desks are in order, and the pencils are sharpened. I have a lot of fun activities planned. Now all there is left to do is wait to meet you guys on September 5th.
This year is going to be amazing, and it is going to be a very exciting year. I hope you guys enjoy going outside and exploring nature, making fun projects, working with clay, and reading interesting books. These are just a few ideas that I have planned for this school year. In second grade, you will learn a lot of things, but it is my job to make learning fun. You do like to have fun, right?
Well, enjoy the last few days of summer break because the first day of school is just around the corner. I am really looking forward to meeting each one of you. I will meet you outside where we line up near the gym. There will be a lot of helpful adults to show you the way, so don't worry. I'm so excited!
See you on the 5th!
Your new teacher,
Mrs. Francolino
PS. If you are nervous, try to relax. I will take good care of you this year and know that I am glad that you are in my class!
