Welcome to our Second Grade Class!

Hi Friends! My name is Ms. Greenwood and I am so excited to be your teacher. This will be my ninth year teaching and my fourth year being a part of the Hamilton family. I've always known I wanted to be a teacher and teaching second grade feels like a dream come true.  

A fun fact about me is that I grew up in Voorhees! I attended Signal Hill, Voorhees Middle School, and Eastern Regional High School. After graduating high school, I attended Rowan University and I achieved my Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education and Literacy Studies. Because of my love of learning, I decided to go back to Rowan to achieve my Masters in Reading. I previously taught first grade for five years before finding my home here in second grade. 

A few fun facts about me:

-My favorite color is blue! 

-My birthday is the day after Christmas, December 26!

-I love going to the beach and visit Ocean City Maryland every year with my family.

-My favorite animal is a sea turtle & I got to swim with one in Hawaii!

This is going to be a wonderful school year & I know second grade will take you to amazing places in learning. I cannot wait to support you while you learn, grow, and create fun school memories this school year.
