I’m Ms. Stephens and this is my third year teaching at Signal Hill. I absolutely love being a husky, but I used to be an eagle! Fun fact: I grew up in Voorhees and I went to Osage Elementary School. It makes me so happy that I can teach in the same district I grew up in. After graduating from Eastern High School, I studied Elementary & Special Education, as well as Social & Behavioral Sciences at Seton Hall University. One of my biggest achievements is graduating with a 4.0! 

Ever since I can remember, I have been passionate about teaching. I still remember playing "teacher" on the bus in elementary school, imitating all the amazing teachers that helped guide me to achieve all that I have today. My biggest goal is to do the same for my own students. I believe that education is the movement from darkness into light. Every child deserves an individualized, culturally relevant, and amazing education so that they can navigate the world in a meaningful way and achieve their own goals. I will always do everything I can to help my students succeed and become the best versions of themselves. 

When I'm not teaching, my favorite thing to do is spend time with my friends and family. Some of my hobbies include traveling (I went to France and Atlanta this summer!), exercising, reading, and crocheting. I also love watching TV shows and movies. I am a big Marvel fan and I can't live without Netflix. You could often find me reading in a coffee shop, sitting on a beach in the summer, exercising, or eating delicious food. I can't wait to learn all about my students this year!
