Ms. Francona
Hi everyone, I am Ms. Francona, Hamilton's Art Teacher!
Here is a little bit about myself.
I am a Spring 2021 graduate of the Rowan University Art Education Program where I earned a Bachelor's of Art in both Education and Art Education. In March of 2021, I was hired as a part-time Art Teacher at Osage to start in the upcoming fall. There I taught all of 4th grade art and was able to see how much I truly love this district and love teaching. I started working at Hamilton in April 2022 and this will now be my 4th year in the district, with almost 4 years at Hamilton.
Though I concentrated on photography as an art form in school, my favorite ways to be creative are either watercolor painting or pen and ink. I also have experience using many other types of media including clay, jewelry making, printmaking, and digital artwork.
In my free time, I like hiking with my two dogs, whom I love very much. I also love to drink tea, read, watch scary movies, baseball, and listen to music!
In the art studio, we will explore art history, art of different cultures, new art techniques, and a variety of media including sculpting, painting, collage, drawing, and printmaking. Overall, I want artists to be happy, safe, and confident as they create. As long as they are trying their best and staying positive, then that is what matters!
Have a healthy Happy Hamilton Day!!
