Meet the Reading Specialist!

My name is Mrs. Carbonaro, and I am so excited to be the new Reading Specialist at Happy Hamilton! In the Literacy Lounge, we will work to develop our skills in the different domains of literacy through strategic interventions based on assessment data. I truly believe that by communicating and coordinating with all stakeholders (families and teachers), all students can and will make significant growth as well as become lifelong readers and learners!

In the past, I have taught basic skills, 2nd grade, and kindergarten. I recently earned my Master’s Degree in Reading Education and my certificate as a Reading Specialist. My Bachelors Degrees are in Elementary Education and Liberal Studies; I also have my Teacher of Students with Disabilities certificate. 

A Few of My Favorite Things: my English bulldogs, Brutus and Betty, bagels, flowers, and the Philadelphia Eagles!
