Announcements of Schools Closing, Delayed Opening or Early Closing
The district will use SchoolMessenger to communicate information about school closings, delayed openings, and early closings. You will receive a recorded phone message on all parent/guardian telephone numbers listed in the student data base system.
All-Day Closings - School Closing Number 574
If for any reason school will be closed for the entire day, notice will be announced and published on the media as explained below. Days missed will be made up at the end of the year according to the calendar approved by the Board of Education.
Emergency Early Closing
If school is dismissed early due to weather or an emergency:
All parents should provide supervision for children if they will not be home when students arrive.
Delayed Opening
If there is a need for a delayed opening, schools will open 2 hours later than usual. If a delayed opening is announced, please follow the times listed. Buses will pick up students 2 hours later than the normal pick-up time. Bus students should arrive at their bus stops 2 hours later than normal. (For example: If your student normally arrives at the bus stop at 8:15 a.m., in the event of a delayed opening they should arrive approximately 2 hours later, at 10:15 a.m.)
CER Childcare will open at 9:00a.m. for those students signed up for the CER before school program.

School closings, delayed openings and early closings are announced on this website and on cable Channel 19 ETV. WPVI TV, Fox 29 TV, WCAU, KYW TV and KYW AM radio 1060, will announce or post schedule changes, referring to the Voorhees Public Schools as code number 574.
