                     Diane Young      Assistant Superintendent for
                                         Curriculum and Instruction

The Voorhees Township School District’s curriculum and instruction is designed to meet the requirements of the Common Core Curriculum Standards for Literacy and Math as well as the New Jersey Department of Education’s Student Learning Standards in all content areas. In addition to the requirements set forth by the state of New Jersey, our students experience a rigorous instructional program that allows them to excel academically. We have high expectations for our students, and we are proud of our efforts to provide students the best education possible. We recognize that each child is unique and we thrive to provide instruction that meets the needs of all our students.

Our curriculum is evaluated frequently and adjustments are made based on feedback from the State of New Jersey, district administrators, teachers, and community members. We value the collaborative efforts of the entire school community that works diligently to ensure our curriculum is up to date and relevant. It is our mission to provide our students an education that will allow them to thrive in the 21st century work place.

Those who are familiar with the Voorhees Township School District recognize that, in addition to our outstanding curriculum, our students achieve at a very high level because our teachers, parents, and other community members value education and are dedicated to the success of all students.
