Staff Technology Resource Support Flow


Level 1 Support - YOU !

With the steady migration of technology resource into classrooms over recent years, the district had determined years ago that a portion of the maintenance responsibility falls with the classroom teacher or any technology-using staff member. Through professional growth plans and participation varied staff development opportunities, staff members are expected to maintain and enhance their skills level so that they are able to minimize down time in the classroom. Self-help resources are provided in this website to allow staff members to independently resolve common technical issues.

Level 2 Support - District Technician

Voorhees Township School District keeps trained computer technicians as full-time employees. Technicians have established building assignments, they maintain a prioritized task list of needed technical services, and these are addressed via a rotating schedule. Access to assistance by district technicians is only possible if the staff member's help request is posted in the SchoolDude IT Help ticketing system. Request technical assistance or services by using the Brightly IT Help Request tool, available as an icon in the ZEN Application Launcher (opens automatically after a successful logon to the network), - Any request for assistance made by the staff member directly to the technician(s) will be denied.





 
Level 3 Support - Building Technology Specialist

Each school employs a technology specialist. Although this position carries instructional responsibility, it has evolved through the years focusing more as a curriculum-integration and technology resource support person. Release time is provided for Technology Specialists to support other staff members engaged in instructional or administrative technology-related activities. Other portions of this time are provided for troubleshooting and resource maintenance activities. Request instructional assistance or services by using any acceptable procedure set in place by the building technology specialist .

The following information is available on the Genesis logon page for easy access. This link is available to both staff members and parents registered as users in the Voorhees Township School District Parent Access module for Genesis Student Information System.
