Buildings and Grounds Goal:

To provide clean, safe, fully functional schools for our students and staff to learn and teach.

 

The Buildings and Grounds Department is responsible for maintaining the district properties. These responsibilities include but are not limited to construction, renovations, enforcing building codes such as electrical, plumbing, fire and various inspections.

 

The Buildings and Grounds Department is also responsible for environmental areas that consist of Indoor Air Quality, Integrated Pest Management, Hazard Communications, Water Testing and the NJ Public Employees Occupational Safety and Health Act.  The Department works very closely with local Police and Fire officials to provide the safest environment possible.

 

The Voorhees Township Public School facilities consist of four elementary schools, a middle school and an administration building within the 11.6 square miles of Voorhees Township, NJ.

 

  • Osage Elementary School  - 78,797 sq ft with 11.25 acres of property

  • Signal Hill Elementary School  - 81,284 sq ft with 16.71 acres of property

  • E.T. Hamilton Elementary School  - 61,556 sq ft with 17.07 acres of property

  • Kresson Elementary school - 61,115 sq ft with a newly constructed 14,500 sq ft Early Childhood Center with 20 acres of property.

  • Voorhees Middles School - 198,270 sq ft with 38.13 acres of property

  • Administration Office - 18,856 sq ft with 6.75 acres of property

 

Theater:

 

  • The Raymond Brosel Performing Arts Center is a 900 seat theater with state of the art stage lighting located at Voorhees Middle School. It is the home of the Voorhees Drama Club. This facility regularly hosts dance competitions along with other outside performing groups.
