CER Coordinator

Suzanne Haftman- CER Coordinator

I believe CER should be an extension of the school community, a place where children and families feel welcomed, supported, and connected. My philosophy is centered on providing safe, high-quality, and accessible programs while creating meaningful opportunities for children to learn, grow, build relationships, and discover new interests.

I bring more than 30 years of experience working with children, families, and community-based programs. Throughout my career, I have worked in school-age care and YMCA after-school programming, served as a child advocate with Catholic Charities supporting children and families affected by domestic violence, and served as a 21st Century Community Learning Centers Coordinator, overseeing academic enrichment and expanded learning opportunities for students beyond the traditional school day.

For 20 years, I served as a supervisor of Community Education and Extended Day Care, overseeing a broad range of programs for children and families, including before- and after-school care, summer camps, enrichment opportunities, and specialized programming. My leadership experience includes program development, staff supervision, budgeting and operations, family communication, and developing programs that respond to the changing needs and interests of the community.

As CER Coordinator, I look forward to building strong relationships with our students, families, staff, and community members while honoring CER’s long-standing traditions. I am excited to work collaboratively with the Voorhees community to continue strengthening existing programs, exploring new opportunities, and ensuring that CER remains a welcoming and enriching resource for our children and families.
