Miss Woodcock
Hi everyone! My name is Miss Woodcock, and I will be Ms. Flores’s student teacher this school year. I look forward to getting to know all of you and creating memories we will make together. Here is some information that will help you get to know me a little better.
I am from the South Jersey area, and I am currently studying at Rutgers University in Camden for my Master’s Degree in Teaching. In August 2021, I graduated from Temple University with a Bachelor’s of Music Degree in Music Therapy. Shortly upon graduation, I became a Board-Certified Music Therapist and earned the MT-BC credential. I have experience working as a Music Therapist in several different preschools and childcare centers. I have also worked as a substitute in a local school district. I have experience in a range of classrooms, from Pre-K to 8th grade. With each classroom experience, I fell in love with teaching more and I finally decided to pursue it further.
Outside of the classroom, I am a musician and play several different instruments: guitar, piano, ukulele, and bass guitar. My main instrument is voice, and I currently teach voice lessons at a local music school. For fun, I play in an alternative rock band and love to perform on stage. Some of my other hobbies include traveling, spending time outside, going to concerts and writing poetry!
Similarly to Ms. Flores, I also have two dogs. Their names are Mickey and Charlie, and both are mixed breeds. I am completely obsessed with them!
Ever since I was little, I was singing and dancing, as well as playing “school” with my younger siblings.Becoming a teacher is something that I always envisioned for myself. I feel extremely grateful to be able to learn how to teach at such a wonderful school, and with an amazing teacher! I am looking forward to learning and growing with you all this school year!
