Bang! Frazier goes down! Muhammad Ali beat Frazier in the 10th round! Ali beat Frazier!
Ali was born on January 17, 1942 in Louisville, Kentucky to his mom Odessa Grady Clay, and his dad Cassius Marcellus Clay SR. Did you know Ali wasn’t always named Muhammad Ali. When he was younger, he was named after his dad Cassius Marcellus Clay JR. Ali’s elementary school was West End Elementary School in Woodbury, NJ. Ali’s High School was Central High School in Philadelphia, PA. When he got older, he had four kids with his second wife, Belinda Boyd. He had four girls. With his first wife, he had three girls, and one adopted boy.
Ali started boxing in the 1960 Summer Olympics. He is famous because he became one of the best boxers in the world and still is today. I think everyone knows his saying when he fought, “Float like a Butterfly. Sting like a bee.” One of his best fights he has ever fought was against Joe Frazier on March 8, 1971 in New York at Madison Square Garden. Sadly he lost by a decision of cards. Later on in his carrier, he fought Frazier again and knocked him out in the tenth round with one minute left.
Ali’s daughter followed in his foot step. Laila Ali, is one of the best girl boxers and champion in the women’s league. Sadly Ali died on June 3, 2016 in Scottsdale, AZ. He died at the age of 74 (1942-2016). Overall in my opinion, and I hope a lot of other people’s opinion, Ali is the best boxer to ever lived or fought in the sport of boxing.
