Get to Know Mrs. Nolan
I have the privilege of being the BSIP teacher at Signal Hill School. I have been teaching for over twenty-five years now. Most of those years have been spent right here at Signal Hill School. I received my undergraduate degree from Boston College and received a dual Masters degree from LaSalle University in elementary and special education. As our BSIP teacher, I support students in grades K to fifth in both reading and math.
I grew up in Voorhees with my parents, two sisters, and brother. I now live with my husband, son, and puppy Lucky. We love the outdoors, Philadelphia sports, the beach, and music.
I believe each child comes to school with his or her own strengths. By incorporating many different opportunities for children to express themselves, their strengths can be recognized and highlighted. It is my goal to create an atmosphere in which all students can be successful and feel proud of their accomplishments. Learning and growth encompasses the whole child-physically, academically, socially, and emotionally. It is my hope that the sense of community that we build in our classrooms and school community creates a sense of teamwork and cooperation, and as a team we inspire each other to grow and learn.
