It is with great honor and excitement that I introduce myself, Lauren M. Salls, as the principal of Signal Hill Elementary School, Home of the Huskies.  It is an absolute privilege to be a part of this incredible educational family!

I have worked in the field of education for the past 15 years, and an administrator for the last seven years.  I began my educational career in Voorhees Township Public Schools as a special education teacher.  Subsequently, I transitioned to general education as an Honors Algebra I teacher at VMS as well.  In 2017, I began my administrative tenure as an Elementary Principal for Grades PreK-4 and Supervisor of Special Services for Grades PreK-8.  My experience in education has taught me a great deal about the importance of developing positive relationships with students, staff, and, of course, the families of the school community. 

Voorhees Township Public Schools has always been a district that is near and dear to my heart, being that it is where I began my educational journey.  While teaching in Voorhees, I cultivated many values which remain with me to this day.  Voorhees is a district that is known for its academic excellence, outstanding instruction, and opportunities and supports that enable students to develop character and explore passions.  It provides a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment where students receive a well-rounded educational experience.  I must say, it feels good to be home!  

I look forward to establishing a collaborative relationship with our dedicated teaching staff, supportive parents/guardians, and an involved Signal Hill community.  Together, we will continue to develop our students’ social, emotional, and academic needs and provide an excellent educational foundation for the students of Signal Hill Elementary School.
