Special School Events


Back-to-School Night
- Held in September, gives parents an opportunity to meet their childs teacher and get a brief overview of the curriculum and classroom routines.

Volunteer Tea - Parents who have volunteered to help with any school activities are invited to attend this appreciation program prepared by the teachers and staff.

American Education Week (Classroom Visits) - In November parents may visit their childs classroom during scheduled times.

Halloween Parade - Students dress in costume and parade around the school. Families are welcome to attend.

Fall Concert - A musical concert featuring students in grades one and two is held at the Voorhees Middle School Theater.

Formal parent conferences are scheduled in November. Sign-up sheets will be available on Back-to-School Night. Parents are encouraged to call their childs teacher whenever they have a question concerning their child.

Winter Concert - A musical concert featuring students in grades three and four is held at the Voorhees Middle School Theater.

Spring Concert- A concert featuring the vocal talents of fifth grade students and Beginner and Advanced Bands / Orchestra is performed at Voorhees Middle School Theater.

Art Expo - Students art work and special projects are displayed throughout the building. It is held at night in conjunction with the Book Fair. The entire community is invited to come and browse.

Field Day - Coordinated by the gym teacher and support staff Field Day offers a day of competitive fun. A schedule of activities is distributed to encourage families to attend.
