    In class this week we read The Great Kapok Tree.   Many forest creatures visited the man in the story to persuade him not to cut down the tree.  If you were the man, what would you have decided to do?  Explain your choice, using details from the story and your leveled reader.

    Our New Jersey Regions cake project was a fun way to learn the four regions of our state.
    We decorated cakes to represent the four regions. They looked beautiful :-)
