Explanation: An object that is moving will continue moving at that same direction and speed until some force changes it.
In rugby, a player may choose to kick the ball through the uprights in order to score points. According to Newton's Law of Inertia, when this player kicks the ball it will keep moving forward forever in the same direction and speed until another force slows, stops, or changes its direction. That force may be the Ff of the ground or ARf in the air. It may also slow down or be stopped if it hits another player, the uprights, or a fan.
